What Causes Female Infertility?

Many people, both men and women alike, would like to know what causes female infertility. There are actually many causes of female infertility and many of these are actually quite obvious if one knows what to look for. The factors that may cause female infertility can be something so simple that it can be remedied almost immediately or so complex that surgical procedures may be necessary to remedy it.

Possible Causes Of Infertility

What causes female infertility may be different from those of male infertility causes. In females, one of the leading causes of infertility may be irregular menstruation. Menstruation is the monthly cycle of purging that the female reproductive system does to clean out the egg cells that have not been used. There are several reasons why menstruation may be irregular or may even cease. The reason causes female infertility in some women and they can be endometriosis, blockages and obesity.

Hormonal imbalances can also factor in the female infertility problem. The malfunction of hormones and their production can cause a lot of side effects that can include the cessation or irregularity of menstruation, non production of ovum and the abnormality of ovum. Another factor that causes female infertility which may be connected to hormonal imbalance is the cessation of taking prescription pregnancy pills. Once a woman stops taking contraceptive pills, the hormones in her body may take sometime to normalize and this causes female infertility temporarily.

Excessive exercising causes female infertility. This happens when a female is expending too much calories and other necessary substances which can contribute to female reproduction. Diet and obesity can also feature in what causes female infertility. When a person lacks certain aspects of a healthy diet, it can affect ovum production as well as other vital organs in the body. Malnutrition is one of the reasons why a woman may have irregular menstruation which may be the cause of infertility in a woman. Nutrition is needed to facilitate bodily functions which include the production of egg cells for fertilization. With malnutrition, the woman does not necessarily need to be so thin to not be able to conceive, she just might lack certain substances to produce a normal egg cell.

Treating Female Infertility

Female infertility has different causes, many of which are quite easy to remedy and cure. Hormones cause female infertility and the treatment for this is to balance out the hormone sin the woman's body. Blockages can be easily remedied through surgical procedures.
